2012 Reading List
“Evaluate what you want – because what gets measured, gets produced.” James A Belasco
An easy way is to start tracking your reading is to start a books-to-buy list and a books-read list in the contacts section of your Outlook or Google database. That way you can access it quickly (like you do your Brother’s phone number) and it will subconsciously encourage you to read more.
This is my third year of tracking and 2012 had lots of great reads.
Business and Non-Fiction
Excellent and useful book that has us re-thinking balance and focusing on satisfaction.
Leaders who focus on questions get better results and this book has great questions. The next three books below are very quick reads and all excellent! I recommend to read them ALL!

A must read for anyone in management. Self-help and Non-Fiction
One of the best books ive read on taking action in your own life. My clients love this book as well.
I will read anything by Mike because his information is so positive and so useful. Great book.
A very self-empowering book which teaches us to know if we are in line with our purpose or not.
As usual her information is both credible and useful. FictionI got really lucky with non-fiction this year and would say every one of the books below is one of the best I’ve read. The writers below make me glad I am a business writer and not a fiction writer or I might never write another word.
1970s fiction set in Oklahoma. Great read.
There is a reason this Pulitzer Prize winning book. If I find a book about walking a trail impossible to put down-it’s a good book. Fantastic read. Read this delicious book on vacation. Too short but great.
It’s helpful to read one book your kids are reading. This was mine. A page turner and a great movie too. I tried to finish the series but couldn’t do it. Too dark. But very inventive.
All I can say about the history of Mormonism is OMG! A must read!

Coaching Assignment:Set the timer on your phone and read something interesting for five minutes. Let yourself finish an article instead of skimming it or read for five minutes from a book you have been meaning to start. Emails and the newspaper don’t count for this. It’s five minutes.
