Let me speak! Tips For The Intense Communicator

In Highly Engaged Leader, Speaking up and Finding Your Voice

Last time we talked about the passive communicator and I am glad so many of you found it helpful. This week it is time to OUT the opposite type of communicator-the overly enthusiastic and intense talkers.

Both of these types tend to interrupt and talk over people in meetings or conversations. The enthusiastic communicator does it because they are SO excited about what they have to say and just need to get it out–right this moment. Whereas the intense communicator’s intention is to move things along–fast. But in doing so they may cut-off the person speaking and can be a wee bit intimidating. Either way, these communication habits can leave others feeling run over and not heard.

Check out these 3 tips and see if you can improve your key relationships by implementing them.
