Nothing is tougher for a leader right now than determining if you have the right people on your team. It all feels complicated and confusing and it is hard to know if you should settle for what you’ve got or expect more.

On the one hand, you need to be empathetic and care about your people and their lives and allow for the humanity of it all. On the other hand, you need people who can actually do the work and attain the results you are responsible for. But here’s the thing, if you don’t have the right folks in the right spots—you can’t succeed.
