Jamie Shapiro, PhD, is a Keynote Speaker, Master Certified Executive Coach, Organizational Psychologist, Researcher and the CEO of Connected EC.
Jamie brings a rare blend of science, strategy, and lived leadership experience to her work with CEOs and executive teams navigating growth, complexity, and cultural transformation.
With a PhD in Positive Organizational Psychology, an MBA, and a Master of Science in Information Technology, Jamie bridges rigorous research with real-world execution. Since 1998, she has developed high-performing teams —first as a corporate executive inside large-scale organizations and now as a trusted external advisor to senior leaders across industries. After experiencing executive burnout herself, Jamie became committed to reshaping how leaders lead—so they can drive exceptional performance without sacrificing their vitality.
Her work integrates well-being science, positive psychology, and systems-level leadership to help organizations build cultures where people can burn bright and go the distance without burning out.
She is the bestselling author of Brilliant: Be the Leader Who Shines Brightly Without Burning Out and the forthcoming book Connected Culture: The New Science for Thriving Teams and Cultures, which uncovers what it truly takes to build high-performing teams where well-being and performance coexist. She is also the founder of the Leader and Organization Vitality (LOV) Center, a research institute that advances the science of leadership vitality, culture, and performance and bridges the gap between research and real-world practice.
What if the highest form of leadership isn’t control but connection? In this powerful and research-backed keynote, organizational psychologist and CEO coach Jamie Shapiro challenges the outdated belief that performance and fulfillment are trade-offs. Drawing on her groundbreaking 5Cs Model — Connection, Candid Communication, Clarity, Collaboration, and Contribution — she reveals how the most effective leaders unlock trust, expand capacity, and build cultures where people thrive. Through compelling executive case studies and deeply human storytelling, Jamie shows how fear-based cultures quietly erode performance, while connected leaders create the psychological conditions that allow people to bring their full selves to work. At the center of it all is one universal truth: Every person is silently asking two questions: Do you care about me? And can I trust you? When leaders answer yes — not with words, but with how they show up — something shifts. Teams collaborate differently. Candor increases. Clarity sharpens. Contribution expands. Performance rises. Because thriving cultures don’t happen by accident. They are deliberately built by leaders willing to lead from the light within.
Stacy Since is a 3x founder, CEO, and CRO who has built and led growth-stage companies and nationally recognized communities for women in business. In collaboration with Jamie Winkler, she co-launched the Women in Business initiative at InBank to create opportunities for accomplished business owners to connect, learn, and strengthen their professional networks.
How do leaders honor wellbeing and legal obligations without eroding accountability and productivity?
Today’s leaders are navigating legal complexity, increased mental health awareness, generational expectation shifts, and relentless performance demands. This conversation is not about dismissing employee needs — and it’s not about lowering standards. It’s about how to lead effectively in tension.
Join our panel with employment lawyers from two of Denver’s most prestigious firms and a leading human resource firm to get a handle on how to manage today’s workforce.
