Elevate Women In Leadership Summit, is a professional development retreat that will help you reach that next level of leadership, income milestone, and the level of freedom and independence you seek in your role.
We understand that you want to learn from other women who are in leadership positions, but most conferences don’t have enough women on stage and the content reflects that gap. Plus there is a certain dynamic that happens when only women are in the room.
You want to hear from people who understand what it’s like to be at your senior level: someone who has been through what you’ve been through and can talk about it from their own experience.
This summit is designed for high-level leaders, vice presidents, chief executives, partners, and Managing Directors. We will explore new communication methods and key topics like employee retention, talent acquisition, managing up, avoiding burnout, and the data that supports you as an emotionally intelligent leader – which means a better bottom line for your organization and you.
Elevate brings a group of high-level women leaders together for a highly curated list of cutting-edge topics, in a stunning setting and with enough time to reflect and work on future vision as well.
Our itinerary is intelligently curated with key topics you need in today’s world and in a way that gets you the absolute most development and accelerated integration of the content, with time to breathe as well. Each session has been crafted to lead into the next, encouraging creative flow and integration of your leadership development.
This evidence-based approach to feedback, accountability, coaching, and mentorship conversations is exactly what leaders need for today’s team.
Brenda will teach you a very special and compelling, scientifically based communication model that will change the way your team engages. You will return to work as a much more powerful listener, and giver of feedback and will have a secret skill to activate the brain of every member of your team. Even the very best communicators will come away with a fresh toolbox of ways to get your team to perform at their very best. This evidence-based approach to feedback, accountability, coaching, and mentorship conversations is exactly what leaders need for today’s team. APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY will forever change your conversations and outcomes and pave a path to increased trust on the team.. AI is not to be confused with “positive feedback”–instead it is the neuro-based feedback strategy used by CocaCola, Apple, J&J, Visa and more.
“Workplace communication statistics show that 86% of employees and executives cite the lack of effective collaboration and communication as the main causes for workplace failures.”
All attendees will take the scientifically validated EQ 2.0 Leadership Assessment prior to the event and we will de-brief the results as a group. We will look at 15 components that comprise your EQ and which of the 15 are key for today’s leaders–hint-assertiveness is one of them. Truly effective leaders are often characterized as having a high degree of emotional intelligence or EQ which includes soft skills such as self-awareness, self-expression, stress management, interpersonal skills, and decision making.
According to Daniel Goleman (2002), a leading influencer in the field of EI “70% of employees perception of the organizational climate is associated with the emotional intelligence of the leader”
A leader with a high degree of emotional intelligence tends to be empathetic, communicates effectively, responds well to change, and has the ability to inspire others. The good news is that EQ is a skill that can be improved over time (unlike IQ which remains fixed once we enter adulthood). An EQ-i2.0 leadership assessment is a valuable development tool for anyone in a leadership role.
Our surveys show this is the stand-out item that everyone knows they need to do, but cannot find the time. You will have a chance to brainstorm what thought leadership looks like for you and your role, regardless of your time limits, and go back with a solid plan. Is it time for you to write that book, speak at conferences or simply be more active on LinkedIn? Perhaps you want to be more of a thought leader in your organization or industry? Thought Leadership is one of those things we do for our future self and yet it is so hard to make time to do it. Not only will you have a chance to work-out ideas with the group, but you will gain fresh ideas from others that may be useful for you.
“Act as if. Want to stand out as a thought leader? It’s time to go beyond putting your head down and just getting your work done.” Denise Brosseau, Author Ready to Be a Thought Leader
Balancing “it all” was hard enough prior to 2020 but now the complexity of balancing work and life is at an all time high and guess who bares the brunt of the imbalance? Women! Attendees will use this group as a braintrust to garner ideas and solutions about setting appropriate boundaries while still attending to key priorities and getting results. We will also cover the burnout epidemic and how to navigate this in ourselves and our team.
42% of Women Say They Have Consistently Felt Burned Out at Work in 2021
In addition to the powerful content we will cover, we have arranged for a movement expert to join us each day to address our physical selves and teach us a bit of meditation. We will also do a bit of creative vision board work together and there will be time for hikes and walks around beautiful Vail, Colorado.
